Siddhithumka
From Siddhithumka Dada(hill) situated in Siddhithumka VCD golden view of sunset, must of the flat paddy fields of the terai, panoramic hilly range of Chure and Mahabharata can be seen clerarly.This place can be reached after three hours from the district head quarter of Ilam. Vehicels via Mangalebare can reach this place and also from Ilam.
Mangmalung
This is stuated in the middle of the forest at the upper part of Ibhang VDC and the is one of the important religious place for the Kirats. This place is regarded as the Kirati Religion. Many statues of snake, lion, eagle, Budhanilkanths and big stone having different images can be seen here. There is also a cave of Matrika kirateswar and the festival is celebrated with great pomp every year. After traveling by bus from Ilam to Ravi via Raanke and walking two hours from there one can reach here.
Chhintapu
11 types of Rhododendron, rare birds, butterflies important for research and studies important herbs like Yarshagumba (aphrodisiac) and Paach aule and rear animals like red panda and musk deer are found here. Mount Kanchanjunja aloung with most part of Ilam can be viewed from here. After a taxi ride to Deurali from Ilam via Maipokhari and a 3 hours walk thereafter one can reach Chhintapu.
Sandakpur
Sandakpur is situated in the north of Ilam as the most interesting trekking spot as well as tourism area. Sunshine, sunset, Mount Kanchanjunjaga, Mount Everest, all parts of Ilam District, most part of tarais' low land and main part of Siliguri(India) and Darjeeling in India can be viewed in a glance from this place. Various kind of animal like musk deer and red panda and rare species of birds like pheasant can be also seen here. This place is the origin of Mai river and thus is important from the religious point of view as well. Jaubari is also a touristic place of this belt. Maimajhuwa Khorsanetar can be reached via Maipokhari by vehicles from Ilam. From there Sandakpur can be reached after walking 5 hours via Goruwala Dada and Guraskharka.
